Description

The west coast of the United States is a truly beautiful area of the country. There are a variety of landscapes and ecosystems in the three states that compose it, which are of course Washington, Oregon, and California. Within these states there are many west coast colleges. The following details several of the community colleges along this lovely coast.

North Seattle Community College

Within Seattle there are several community colleges. These schools are part of the same system that is spread throughout the city in different areas. Located on the northern portion of the city, North Seattle Community College is a major part of the college system in the urban center. It offers a variety of academic programsabout how to write exemplification essay, including pre-college courses, transfer college courses, and career training. There are even international programs for students wanting to study in the United States from foreign countries or those native wishing to study abroad.

Clark College

This particular institution is in Vancouver, Washington. There are traditional two-year degrees for the arts and sciences to be used as transfer credits for higher level universities. Clark College also offers technical degrees and certificates up to the two-year level. One of the biggest aspects of this particular school is college course credits and advanced credits for high school students. These students can go through Clark College for Advanced Placement (AP) credits and College Level Examination Program (CLEP).

Mt. Hood Community College

One of the most popular higher education institutions in Oregon is Mt. Hood Community College. Within the city of Gresham, this school provides many different services, such as academic programs, adult skills, and workforce development. It offers both degrees and transfer credits to its students. The traditional academic subjects, such as English, Social Sciences, or Mathematics are transfer paths. Yet, there are career and professional degrees at this school. Degrees fall mostly along technical paths, such as Integrated Metals and Natural Resources Technology.
